The purpose of SpeakLifeTV.com has been, and always will be, to bring positivity to people who desire it. People who hunger for a more substantial way of living. People who want more out of television than just entertainment. The recent moral climate changes in the United States of America (where most of us live) has become so negatively charged that it makes us all wonder: “Is this a battle worth fighting? Are we destined to lose?” The battle to live freely, free from prejudice, free from stereotypes, free from oppression, hate and every other malady that infects those around us for we, surely we, are not the cause or carrier of any of these ailments . . . or are we? |
“ A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” - ― John 13:34 KJV
It’s hard to believe that God can, and does, love everyone but what is even more difficult is to believe that we can all do the same. There is no one person counted greater than the next; each individual contains just enough chromosomes, organs, bits and pieces to be a custom work of art all on his own. The fact that we are all essentially the same but with different add-ons, bonus packs, and behind-the-scenes footage is just what makes each of us unique. Individual. It’s high time that society learned to celebrate and love what’s different about each person as opposed to fearing it and eventually hating its very existence.
“People fear what they don't understand and hate what they can't conquer.”
― Andrew Smith
The fact that “our differences make us special” should be acclaimed and not seen as things of dread but, until we can all wrap our heads around this idea, nothing will change. Nothing can change if each of us continues to act as if we have no part in the current state of the world. Nothing will get better if we don’t decide to make it so. Can you imagine the world of difference that each of us could create if we committed one additional act of kindness each day. One person can create a tidal wave of change in a single year. Imagine the change one hundred, or one thousand, people could make. Be proud of who you were created to be, cherish the skin you were presented with at birth. Rejoice in the shape of the vessel that your beautiful soul was poured into. Love the hair that adorns your head and the eyes that rest on your face but, while loving yourself, don’t forget to love someone else.
